ROTHERT INSURANCE, INC.

Founded in 1961, Rothert Insurance, Inc. was originally an independent retail agency providing products and services in the northeast corner of Portland, Oregon. As the agency grew, Ron began marketing specialty products as a Managing General Agent (MGA). The MGA product line grew to include both Personal and Commercial Lines. Incorporating in 1970, Ron sold his retail book of business in 1977 and went solely into the MGA side of the marketplace, writing business in both Oregon and Washington.

Two of Ron's sons came into the business in 1979, and Ron retired in 1985. Continuing on the simple mission to "market and deliver insurance and insurance-related products and services at a fair price with the"Best Service Anywhere", the agency continued to prosper. Through hard and soft markets, their dedication to this simple mission statement enabled Rothert Insurance to maintain a steady pattern of growth.

Rothert Insurance operates with the highest level of professionalism, yet maintains the feel of a family business. Still very much independent, decisions are made "in-house", and our customers can still pick up the phone and talk to a Rothert. Now into our fifth decade and third generation, we still operate under the same mission statement. We are professional, independent and will help our customers place business that falls outside the guidelines of their preferred companies. Committing ourselves to doing this both efficiently and accurately is what we are all about here at Rothert.

A Commitment to Excellence

In addition to several of our staff holding individual designations, Rothert Insurance received and maintains the agency wide designation of "Certified Managing General Agent", conferred by the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) University. This designation is earned as the result of completing a rigorous program of classroom study by our agency staff. To maintain the designation, our staff must be recertified each year. Rothert Insurance has held this prestigious designation since 1994.The CMGA designation is testimony to our commitment to maintaining an exceptional level of professionalism and knowledge.
